Miraval Austin Resort & Spa Review

Miraval Austin Resort & Spa: An Inclusive Luxury Wellness Retreat

Date of Stay: July 2022
My first Miraval experience was an incredible two-night getaway with a dear friend. This property has a palpable restorative energy where you immediately feel nourishment of mind, body and soul. As an inclusive and no-tipping resort property you are free to relax and dive into the myriad of classes and spa services offered daily. See the Spa and Wellness section below for a few of my favorites.

Accommodations: 5/5

I was upgraded to the second floor Hill Country King Room overlooking the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, with the sweetest outdoor patio. I fell hard for the famous Miraval signature cloud-like bedding and am currently saving up for the whole collection.

Service: 5/5

The impeccable customer service experience begins weeks before check-in with the Miraval specialists and planners dedicated to helping you create a guest itinerary based on your intentions. It’s always a good idea to sign up for classes and spa services well in advance of your stay. But, once on property, I appreciated the easy cancellation policy and ability to pop in to the experience planner office to rearrange my schedule. Furthermore, I truly enjoyed the beautiful spirit and radiant joy and passion of everyone I met.

Spa & Wellness: 5/5

Here is where it gets really fun! Miraval offers an extensive menu of wellness activities and classes, from yoga and mediation sessions, to outdoor hikes, rope courses, bee keeping, equine therapy and fitness classes. There is truly something for everyone! I was a huge fan of the yoga classes - the music, instructors and facilities were fabulous! Much more my style compared to Miraval Arizona. I also discovered my love for sound healing classes and highly recommend experiencing the healing vibrations of the crystal singing bowls. The spa facilities were exceptional, with an impressive range of treatments designed to balance both the body and the mind. I’m happy to share anything about the classes and spa treatments I enjoyed. Here’s a peek at three day itinerary.

Dining: 5/5

I enjoyed most of my meals at the Hilltop Crossings Kitchen overlooking the scenic hill country. I appreciated the focus on locally sourced ingredients and innovative flavors and was impressed by the variety of options available, including vegetarian and vegan choices. I highly recommend booking the community table for an intimate dinner with the chef, which includes a complimentary glass of wine. I ended up making several stops by The Nest, to grab a fresh juice, immunity shot, smoothies, and healthy snacks in between classes.

Facilities & Amenities: 5/5

Nestled amidst the hills of Austin's countryside, the resort is oozing with serenity and several tranquil areas to reset and restore. The yoga barn is absolutely stunning but I was most drawn to the Solidago studio. It’s sacred energy was truly special and by my favorite space on property.

Overall Experience: 5/5

You should go. Period. It’s absolutely worth the investment. Given the wide range of activities, classes and spa treatments I would recommend it for a solo trip, couples retreat, friend reunion as well as large groups. Curious how Miraval Austin compares to the other properties? I was too! Here’s a full review of Miraval Arizona. Stay tuned for the Berkshires - it’s on my bucket list!
